Timochenko y Popeye detrás de las elecciones colombianas

En esta segunda vuelta electoral se ha incrementado las diferencias públicas de personalidades, a favor de los que apoyan a  Iván Duque y los que votarán por Gustavo Petro este domingo 17 de junio

En esta segunda vuelta electoral se ha incrementado las diferencias públicas de personalidades, a favor de los que apoyan a  Iván Duque y los que votarán por Gustavo Petro este domingo 17 de junio. Incluso, algunos premios Nobel tomaron posición  al respecto de las elecciones más polarizadas en la historia de Colombia,informa BBC Mundo

Esta polarización surge desde que el exsicario de Pablo Escobar y ahora preso John Jairo Velázquez, conocido como Popeye, promueve la candidatura de Iván Duque, y el excomandante de las FARC Rodrigo Londoño,  dejó a conocer que su movimiento votará por Gustavo Petro.

Por su parte, la politóloga Marcela Priero señala que manifestaciones de simpatía a una candidatura como la que hizo el exmafioso y actualmente detenido, resta en lugar de sumar a favor de la candidatura de Iván Duque: “Una adhesión de alguien como Popeye es absolutamente contraproducente. Mucho más porque realiza una amenaza pública”, indica la profesora en Ciencias Políticas. De hecho, una de las declaraciones más polémicas fue la de apoyo de Rodrigo Londoño (Timochenko), a la postulación de Gustavo Petro: “El partido (FARC) debe apoyar al candidato que ha garantizado la implementación y continuación de los acuerdos firmados en La Habana. Creo que la opinión pública ya sabe quién es ese candidato”, dijo el excomandante guerrillero durante una entrevista en los últimos días.
